DJ JM - Travelling over from Vilnius, Lithuania to link up with TSVI, Wallwork and NKC in London in 2016, DJ JM was a pivotal member of the UK’s percussive club scene throughout the late 2010s. With a natural flair for rhythms, a creative approach to sampling and a prolific workrate, DJ JM constructed idiosyncratic and increasingly zany drum-led workouts for Even The Strong, Goon Club Allstars, Nervous Horizon, and his own self-released EPs. Relocating from Copenhagen to Brussels in 2020, DJ JM found a solid footing in the Belgian party capital’s active musical underground. This coincided with DJ Stingray making ‘Ray Mound’ one of his set staples, a bouncy industrial-electro track from DJ JM’s standout EP on Nervous Horizon No Days Off, inspiring him to lean into more pummelling sonic territory. After holding down a few Kiosk Radio shows in Brussels – the people’s favourite park-shack station – JM linked up local club kingpin Le Motel to drop an EP on Maloca Records that explored the more melodic, bass-heavy sound he’d been developing since the implosion of percussive scene. Nearly every DJ set and radio show around this time was, as always, filled to the brim with DJ JM’s monthly stack of his own productions, plus a handful of niche selections and feel-good house and electro bangers from deep digital crate-digging. In late 2022, DJ JM returned to Copenhagen with a renewed focus and some self-imposed creative limitations. He locked himself in his unfurnished apartment with nothing but a laptop, a pair of Audiotechnica headphones, Ableton’s stock plugins, a table, a chair, and a straightforward mission: no rest until a new EP took shape. Abnormal, released with long term collaborators and friends Nervous Horizon, is the result.
Šarūnas Šimaitis aka Big Tasty – started his journey at early teenage years when his interest in Ambient and Techno music started to grow. A natural response was to try and express the growing ideas in any possible form. This has brought him to a well-established community of minimal.lt, where he had space to grow and explore further depths of electronic music. This is where a chance to bring some of those ideas to life have appeared. Contribution and further involvement in Sūpynės Festival created many paths for Šarūnas. Hard work and determination paid off as across the years, for this reason he already shared the stage with such techno heavyweights like – Marcel Dettmann, Answer Code Request, Antigone, Blawan, Bjarki, Zenker Brothers, Anastasia Kristensen, Hector Oaks, Efdemin, Tessela, I Hate Models, Francois X, Makam. Following years and ever-changing love to various styles of music has split his personality and created a house and disco lovin alter ego - Less Feeling. This is where Šarūnas focused more on exploring grooves of house music. Helping to establish a crew called Tarp Dviejų Aušrų he has continued to refine the house and disco scene in the city of Kaunas. Here after becoming the resident/program manager of the nightclub Lizdas hosting and playing alongside dj’s like – Massimiliano Pagliara, Patrice Scott, Awanto 3, San Proper, Jeremy Underground, Lone, Luca Lozano, Skatebard, Dj Dustin, Sharif Laffrey, Spencer Parker, Oceanic, Awanto3, Gilb`R, Peach, Esa, Tama Sumo, Bradley Zero and many more had become a privilege and a pleasure.
