Soaked in the Italian sun, local delicacies and the sweetness of oranges, singer Lukas Pilkauskas announces the birth of his new album Ciao Ciao.
Lukas, who spends his days alone in the warm south, bathing not only in the sea, but also in his creativity, wants to convey with his new album the feeling of living in Italy, which is like a year-round sunshine. "Warmth, long days, dolce far niente – these things, like summer, I miss very much in Lithuania after a long, dark winter that lasts at least half a year. With the songs of "Ciao Ciao" I will try to convey the Italian aesthetics of the 1970s-80s, with a little bit of Lithuanian slang thrown in. The result is a white medley, but with olive oil and anchovies," Lukas laughs.
Italituano – that's the one word he uses to describe his new creation. Some of the new songs were written about love and imagined to be performed by Italian muses.
