Formed in 2022 from the meeting of violinist Joachim Baumerder and drummer Simon Lacouture, Marta is a live techno duo that channels the energy of the club into a fully performed live set. Their approach is built around a deliberately stripped-down setup: violin, drums, pedals, and a few layers, serving a physical, repetitive, dance-driven sound where organic elements constantly interact with techno codes.

Noticed with their first EP ROOM, which received a Qobuzissime selection for its efficiency and radical edge, Marta quickly established itself as a live-focused project. The duo has played over forty shows, including appearances at Bars en Trans and BISE Festival, asserting a distinctive and firmly club-oriented live identity.

In 2026, Marta opened a new chapter with the release of the EP PUSH, paving the way for an extensive tour – the most ambitious the project has undertaken to date.
