Jurgis Lietunovas is interested in feelings, images and voices that we experience in solitude. Temples of the mind that we build as we're moving through landscapes of mundane daily phenomena. He questions, documents and strives to visualise how this solitary experience transforms itself into a binding glue that forms a social structure, culture, love and connection for the other. Studied in Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, works and lives in Seoul.

ENERGIJA / ENERGY
2024
Two personal stories of father and son, who facilitate and tune the flow of electric currents and frequencies in close proximity, making their paths align in a fleeting moment. The scientist carefully solders and weaves the solenoids. His driver, once a millionaire, stands in the laboratory with his hands raised, feeling the energy emitted from the invention as if sunbathing. A young taxi driver, whose words entwine and interfere with the music into a trancelike state until the son plays a different track, shifting the frequency that makes a taxi car vibrate from the bases. Taxi driver tilts his head back and forth, eyes closed.
