Drawing, conjuring, tasting, discussing, painting, composting, texturing – coffee is not just for drinking. Have you ever been painting with it? Or taken part in a bean-guessing competition? Or tasted windbags, apple pockets or beggars? No!? Then the KAVACOOLIERIUS is waiting for you! Already during the “AUDRA”, this event will transform the familiar foot of the funicular into a temporary pantheon of creativity, Kaunas history and our favourite tonic drink panteón.

Symbols of the everyday are transformed into relics of the mundane. New ways of looking at the monotonous funicular journey and the usual morning coffee ritual. Opportunities to try drawing with coffee, listening to “Slemas” poems and poetry inside the funicular, to shake out your future in a pile of coffee grounds, taste a new coffee so you know it's not just a latte! And for a bite to eat, we'll be offering extraordinary dishes – we'll bring back a forgotten inter-war confectionery and taste dishes that have only existed in recipe books for years. Bobausiai, beggars, stairs and other Smetona-era sweets, with flavours as poetic as their names, will be waiting for every visitor.

One thing is clear: this event needs history enthusiasts, coffee critics and funicular fanatics. Anyone who wants to relax in a new light, see the symbols of Kaunas and taste coffee like you've never tasted it before is welcome at KAVACOOLIERIUS!
