We invite you to get acquainted with another pearl of modernist architecture in Kaunas – the most mature building designed by architect Vytautas Landsbergis-Žemkalnis, which was opened on February 18, 1939. During the tour, you will see many authentic exterior and interior elements, furniture, and artworks that have survived the turbulent past. You will hear about lost paintings and chairs, discovered frescoes, Grandpa from Space, and other intriguing stories. After all, the building housed the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, army headquarters, general commissariat, and now it still operates as a library.
During the festival, two tours will be organized. Due to the limited number of spots per tour, we invite you to fill out the registration. Registration will open on May 24th in the Facebook event for the tour.Tour language: Lithuanian.
Exact meeting location for the tour will be communicated in the registration confirmation letter.
